ADVISORY NOTE TO CUSTOMERS , DISTRIBUTORS and RESELLERS - Deletion of access points from CloudManage
------THIS SECTION IS APPLICABLE TO DISTRIBUTORS/RESELLLERS-----------
If you have a Xclaim access point that you are now handing over to a new customer, please ensure that the AP has not been claimed by any CloudManager accounts before giving it to a customer.
If you have added the AP to a CloudManager account , it is your responsibility to delete the AP from said account . If you do not do this, then the customer will be unable to register, use the AP.
Here are some of the common issues that we here and some best practices to avoid such issues from occurring:
The most common issue we hear is when the Distributors forget the Cloud Manager account/password that they used to add the AP in the first place before handing it over to the customers. One way to mitigate this would be to have one dedicated account for all access point testing/cloudmanager registration. This way, when the AP has to be deleted, the process should be simple.
Another issue we here is that distributors/resellers do not remember if they had claimed the AP prior to shipping to the customers. The best way to test if an AP has already been claimed is to try and add the AP to an existing cloudmanager account. If you encounter an error mentioning that the AP has already been added, then you would have to search for the account that has this AP and delete it from there. Else, you should be good to ship this AP to an awaiting customer.

Here are some best practices you could follow:
When you receive your new Xclaim access point and claim it using your cloudmanager account, if you get an error saying the AP has been already registered, please feel free to directly reach out to your distributor with your order receipt, your AP's serial number , AP model so that they can delete it from their account.
If they do not get back to you in a few days (or) if they are having any trouble deleting the AP, please raise a support request using http://www.xclaimwireless.com/contact . Someone from XClaim wireless will work with you to get this AP deleted from the system.
