XI3 Red flashing light

I have just set up an XI3 using the Harmony app which I have used before without problems. Having set up the AP the light keeps flashing red. I know this means it hasn't connected to the cloud but is this a problem? The AP appears to be working fine and has improved Wi-Fi coverage as required. Do I need to do anything? Also for me using the Harmony App is useful on site, will this feature be ending ? Thanks
